Swift Sensors API

API Users for third-party developers

Swift Sensors provides an application programming interface (API) to allow third-party developers to create custom applications that communicate directly with the Swift Sensors cloud servers. Because Swift Sensors is constantly improving its service by enhancing existing features and adding new ones, the API is periodically updated. To keep third-party developers better informed, Swift Sensors is creating a distribution list of API users who will receive emails about any future changes to the API. To sign up, developers can add themselves to the new API Users list inside the API Access panel on the Admin / Account details page.

Video Camera Dashboard Panel

The dashboard supports a Video Cameras panel which displays live video for any measurement associated with up to four Eagle Eye Networks video cameras.  When four cameras are selected, the video feed is displayed in a 2×2 grid.

Eagle Eye Networks & Swift Sensors

Through a partnership with Eagle Eye Networks, critical video surveillance footage can now be seamlessly combined with the power Swift Sensors alert notifications. For the first time, video snapshots can be included in notifications (email & SMS) triggered by a sensor measurements exceeding a customer-defined threshold. Combing such critical information into a single notification helps to provide a full picture of onsite conditions.

Integration is simple. Adding video capabilities to the Swift Sensor network requires purchase of the Eagle Eye cloud video system, which is available through the Eagle Eye Networks and Brivo network of dealers and system integrators. The integration requires just one step so there is no programming or complicated setup involved. Within the Swift Sensors Admin console, simply provide your Eagle Eye Network credentials to complete the integration.
