Indoor Air Quality Monitoring
The Indoor Air Quality Sensor from Swift Sensors measures a wide range of environmental conditions that affect health and comfort, including, temperature, relative humidity, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, TVOC, and particulate matter down to the size of bacteria and viruses. The sensor also detects smoking and vaping, motion, noise, and physical tampering with the device for areas where deterrence and enforcement are required. A robust API and native integration with the leading video surveillance system round out a comprehensive set of advanced monitoring capabilities.
Receive instant notifications via email, text message, or a centralized monitoring console, when measurements move outside of configurable ranges, enabling an immediate response.

The Importance of Indoor Air Quality
Health and Comfort
The Indoor Air Quality Sensor aggregates several individual measurements into comprehensive Health and Comfort scores. The Scoreboard can be displayed publicly to showcase the condition of a room or privately as a high-level troubleshooting tool. Managers can drill down to each individual measurement, empowering them to make the necessary adjustments to ensure the environment for employees, tenants, and students is a safe and healthy place to work, live, and learn.
Health and Comfort Measurements
High CO2 levels can cause headaches, drowsiness, and elevated blood pressure.
Temperature can be the largest contributor to comfort and varies based on preference or the location of a room.
Exposure to elevated levels of CO can lead to loss of muscle control, consciousness, and even death.
High humidity can lead to mold and dust mites, and aggravate seasonal allergies or respiratory conditions.
TVOC is an aggregate measurement of many potentially dangerous industrial compounds, including Formaldehyde, Benzene, and more.
Irritants include dirt, dust, mold, pollen, heavy metals, and even bacteria and viruses that may cause disease
How it Works
The Indoor Air Quality Sensor transmits measurements wirelessly through a secure gateway to the cloud console where analytics can be viewed on any device. Thresholds and alerts are configured in the console to enable an immediate response.
Deterrence and Enforcement
Smoking and vaping in restrooms and other private spaces is a growing concern and difficult to monitor with traditional surveillance methods. Swift Sensors Indoor Air Quality Sensor is designed with privacy in mind, detecting events and triggering alerts without recording any personally identifiable information. Several measurements are aggregated into a high-level Vape Score. Values greater than 10 represent an increasing probability that vaping or smoking is taking place. Additionally, the sensor detects other events that may occur during vaping activity such as motion, noise, and tampering with the device.
Deterrence and Enforcement Measurements
Detects the probability of vaping or smoking activity and triggers alerts for when intervention is necessary.
Identifies motion within a 15-foot radius and generates alerts when activity is detected in a secure area.
Helps determine the type of activity that is taking place in spaces where cameras are not allowed.
Detects attempts to disable the sensor and generates alerts to respond to potential vandalism.
Security and Surveillance Integrations
Swift Sensors natively integrates with Eagle Eye Networks, the global leader in cloud video surveillance, delivering cyber-secure, cloud-based video with artificial intelligence (AI) and analytics to make businesses more efficient and the world a safer place. Eagle Eye provides security and real-time business intelligence, helping organizations of all sizes and types optimize operations. Measurements provided by Swift Sensors can trigger surveillance events, providing visual confirmation of significant activity. Moreover, all data from Swift Sensors can be viewed within the Eagle Eye cloud console, providing a “single pane of glass” for all health, safety, and security analytics.
