Swift Sensors - How it Works
Swift Sensors uses small wireless sensors to monitor your equipment for a wide variety of measurements 24/7 (on/off, voltage, electrical contact, vibration, temperature, water leaks, power, door open/close, and more).
Major International Airport Keeps People Moving with Swift Sensors
The Facilities Management team at one large international airport decided to take matters into their own hands to avoid major disruptions by equipping their critical conveyance systems with a wireless monitoring and notification system from Swift Sensors. They realized that escalators and moving walkways would occasionally fail throughout the airport, creating traveler backups and delays, without any notification. The facilities team was dependent on physical surveys or complaints getting back to them before they could react and address the problem.
Because these sensors are wireless and battery powered, we were able to quickly and easily install them with minimal disruption, system design change orders, or significant capital investment,” said the lead maintenance engineer on the project. “We were able to quickly stand-up a pilot system and prove the concept using Gateways connected through cell modems to bypass any networking system concerns. This relatively simple add-on to our conveyance systems now gives us visibility that we never had before to quickly address any escalator or moving walkway issue before it causes major backups.”

Airport Equipment Monitoring in 3 Easy Steps

More than 30 types of sensors to monitor your equipment, facility, and business processes. Sensors have a battery life of 6-8 years, communication range of 500 feet, and an IP66 rating.

Gateways transmit sensor measurements to the cloud via Ethernet, WIFI, or Cellular Modem. One gateway supports up to 150 sensors. Advanced security protocols keep your networks and data safe.

The Monitoring and Alert Plan (each sensor) provides cloud account access with thresholds, notifications, unlimited users, measurement history, reporting, analytics and more. No Contract Required.
